Expansion Joints in PVC Clad Metal

PVC clad metal is attached to the deck edge. In this case the holes were drilled through the concrete and the metal was screwed 4” o.c. to the underlying wood framing.

Epoxy filler is applied to smooth the transition and prevent water collecting on the edge of the finished membrane.

The membrane flashing wraps from the fascia onto the wall in preparation for the saddle

The saddle flashing is critical to preventing water entry at the deck corners

The decks are prepared prior to paper the walls

Flexible saddle flashings can be folded to weather-lap into build applied following the deck preparation

PVC membrane is welded to PVC clad metal

Welded corners of PVC clad metal

Welded joints accommodate expansion and contraction of the edge flashing
