The step-flashings at the composition roofing did not originally include a kick-out to divert water out of the cladding assembly.

| Gutters spilling onto the roof were dammed and new rain leaders were added to direct water into gutters. A removable counter-flashing with was applied at the transition of stucco to the roof to accommodate the shorter life cycle of roofing.
